Leading social change in the age of AI agents
ExaWizards Inc.
Representative Director and President, CEO
Makoto Haruta
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all our stakeholders for your continued support.
We are guided by our mission, "Solving social issues through Artificial Intelligence for future generations." Since our founding, we have worked to bring AI and generative AI technologies into practical use across society. People from diverse backgrounds who share this mission have come together, and by combining their passion with AI, we have created a driving force for transformation.
Our Approach to AI — A Belief in Technology
Recently, threats posed by AI have been discussed. While it may be difficult to deny such threats at this point in time, I personally love technology and genuinely believe in the positive potential of AI. AI is not humanity's enemy but a tool to unlock human potential and possibility. Our mission is to demonstrate this positive potential to society through AI implementation, offering hope. This conviction has remained unchanged since the Company's founding ten years ago.
To realize a better future through trustworthy AI, we embrace key principles in our daily work: disclosing how AI operates and its decision-making processes, taking responsibility for transparency and trust; delivering user-centric services that address user challenges and provide genuine value; pursuing continuous innovation that deepens learning and improvement, expanding AI's possibilities; and contributing to society by bringing AI's benefits to many and tackling challenges. Through these efforts, we aim to build a society where all can benefit.
Today, the world stands at an inflection point of "AX (AI Transformation)," where every system and business process is being redesigned with AI as a premise. AI is evolving from an individual tool into an "AI Agent" that autonomously understands and executes processes, fundamentally reshaping industrial structures. The Company will lead this historic transformation and, by practicing these four principles, continue delivering value that exceeds stakeholder expectations.
Record results and growing alliances
In FY2026/3 (the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026), our strategy and structural reforms produced clear results, building a strong earnings base. Both net sales and operating profit reached record highs. Our investment and business development efforts paid off, putting us on a path of sustained growth. Both the AI Products business and the AI Solution Services business grew their revenue and profit, confirming that our growth model works.
In AI Products, exaBase AI—our platform for safe enterprise use of generative AI—gained adoption across a wide range of companies, showing strong growth potential and scalability.
In AI Solution Services, large-scale AI deployment projects for major corporations increased sharply. A key example is our co-creation partnerships. Through a capital and business alliance with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, we are planning to form a dedicated team of about 50 people. Together, we are running multiple projects at once, deploying AI in advanced business areas and training AX talent. With NTT DOCOMO Business, we collaborate broadly—from building AI agents to expanding sales of AI products. We have also formed alliances and joint ventures with leading companies such as Idemitsu Kosan, Sumitomo Life Insurance, and MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings. These partnerships are a distinctive strength.
A refreshed Credo for a fully engaged organization
As the Group's employee count rapidly expanded to approximately 600, we refreshed our behavioral guidelines, the "Credo." Under the new Credo, we are building an organization where all members can lose themselves in their work with complete dedication. In pursuing our ideal of solving social challenges, we are not satisfied merely with effort—we are obsessively focused on outcomes and results. The driving force behind major accomplishments is the voluntary dedication of each individual.
The "Improving model revolving around AI (AI Guru-Guru Model)," which is the foundation and greatest strength of the Company's business, is a unique business model that has consistently supported our evolution since inception. We steadily solve challenges by leveraging AI in our own operations, our customers' businesses, and society at large. The insights and data gained are then developed into easily accessible products and solutions for market deployment. As products are used in the field, challenges and needs that only become visible through actual use emerge. To address these, we return to on-the-ground practice, using learnings to refine and evolve our products. By continuously rotating this "cycle of evolution" at high speed, we achieve sustained growth.
Driving this cycle powerfully is AI-driven management, positioning the Company as an "experimentation ground." We overcome challenges as the first user ourselves, then provide refined expertise to customers. For example, at this year's shareholder meeting, we applied AI to summarize questions during Q&A and support the chair's responses. This generated successive inquiries—"we want to use this next year"—several of which have advanced to projects. In this integrated report, we have also prioritized AI readability and transitioned from PDF to an HTML version, enabling customers and investors to leverage AI more effectively for information gathering and analysis. Internally, we are now thoroughly utilizing AI across sales and delivery operations to reduce working hours and create time for value-added activities. Because we have personally validated the quality of such solutions, customers can use them with confidence.
Deploying AI agents through our 3P×Frontier strategy
For FY2027/3, we plan net sales of ¥15.6 billion and operating profit of ¥2.3 billion. We will keep investing in growth while committing to increases in both revenue and margins.
This plan rests on our 3P×Frontier strategy, which maximizes group synergies. We combine three strengths—People, Platform, and Product—with agile strategic subsidiaries (Frontier) to support our clients' AX journeys from start to finish.
In People, we signed a strategic partnership with TechnoPro Holdings to train up to about 30,000 engineers in AX skills. Our training programs raise engineers' AI capabilities, and we assign them to AI development projects to speed up deployment in the field.
On the Frontier side, we launched several strategic subsidiaries: Exa Frontier Edge, which provides AI-driven system development and a development platform; Exa Interaction Design Lab, which leads forward-looking AI technology research; ExaForward Kyushu, based in Fukuoka, which deploys AI agents in real-world settings; and ExaSecurity, which offers security services for the AI era. Furthermore, through the acquisition of ele&company, which provides comprehensive consulting support to enable customers to operate independently, we are welcoming them as part of the ExaWizards Group. As an integrated group, we will further strengthen the value we deliver to customers in AI implementation.
In the future that AI agents will bring, companies will move past proof-of-concept trials to full operational change built around AI. Safe, reliable governance will form the foundation, and AI unit economics—optimizing token consumption—will become established. The human role will shift toward conversation, asking the right questions, managing AI units, and taking responsibility for decisions.
A future where AI agents operate autonomously in existing markets worth tens of trillions of yen—such as system development and business process outsourcing (BPO)—will not take jobs away. We see it as a solution to labor shortages: freeing people from routine administrative tasks so they can focus on more creative work. This is a revolution in how we work.
First dividend and preparing to move to the TSE Prime Market
Until now, we prioritized reinvesting cash in growth and did not pay dividends. With your support, we achieved a significant free cash flow surplus in FY2026/3, completing our shift to a strong financial position that generates cash on a self-sustaining basis.
Given this progress, we decided that we have entered a new phase where we can invest in growth and return profits directly to shareholders at the same time. Starting in FY2027/3, we plan to pay our first dividend: ¥5 per share as a year-end dividend. Going forward, we will pursue the best balance between growth investment and shareholder returns, and commit to maximizing corporate value over the medium to long term.
We have also formally begun preparing to move from the TSE Growth Market to the TSE Prime Market, so that a broader range of investors can participate. We believe this move will strengthen our credibility as a publicly accountable company, improve share liquidity, and expand our base of institutional investors in Japan and overseas. We will build on this foundation of trust to make our growth platform even stronger.
Your partner in shaping the future
Record results, deploying AI agents through our 3P×Frontier strategy—these are steps on the way to a better society, not the destination.
AI is not humanity's enemy but a tool to unlock human potential. Our mission is to continue demonstrating this positive potential, which we have consistently believed in since our founding, as hope to society through AI implementation. The Company will continue to transform itself and pursue challenges with momentum, leveraging innovative technologies including AI Agents.
We ask for your continued understanding and support as we work toward the future we envision.
