Exawizards Has Begun Accepting Applications for Its New “exaBase Generative AI built with GPT-4” Service for Companies Interested in using ChatGPT ~¥900/Month Basic Fee, Security and Compliance Management Features Come Standard ~

ExaWizards Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Makoto Haruta; hereinafter “ExaWizards”) announces that it has begun accepting reservations for its “exaBase Generative AI built with GPT-4,” an interactive generative AI service for companies. To allow companies to safely use interactive generative AI technology, the service comes standard with features to help ensure security and compliance, which are considered challenges for enterprises currently considering the use of “ChatGPT.”

The basic fee is 900 yen per user (tax not included), with a pay-for-use fee that can be capped, providing peace of mind in terms of operating costs. Applications for the free trial are being accepted in preparation for the service launch in mid-May of this year. (Click here to apply(Only in Japanese):https://exawizards.com/exabase/gpt)

☑︎ Background of Service Development
ChatGPT is a service for interactive generative AI developed and provided by OpenAI Inc., based in the U.S. It has attracted attention as a new platform promoting the use of AI since its launch at the end of November 2022. By entering instructions and questions called “prompts” in a simple user interface (UI), users can immediately obtain answers in chat format from the AI, which has been trained on a vast amount of knowledge.

However, when employed by companies and government agencies, there are concerns around the possibility that the information entered could be used to optimize ChatGPT’s AI model (when run from a web browser), as well as the inability to monitor information shared in prompts entered by employees or their service usage. As a result, many companies prohibit the use of these systems or forgo their implementation due to the information management risks.

ExaWizards has clients in the finance/insurance, manufacturing/industrial, consumer goods, healthcare, telecommunications/infrastructure, energy, human resources, and logistics industries. Currently, we are seeing a surge in demand from these customers for interactive generative AI services that take security and compliance into consideration. In response to these needs, we have developed exaBase Generative AI built with GPT-4 (exaBase Generative AI) based on ChatGPT, which can be used safely and securely.

User companies can operate the generated and interactive AI service in accordance with their own security standards and compliance rules. The latest version of GPT-4 is used as the AI model for generating answers, and is expected to be highly accurate.

☑︎Four major features to ensure security compliance
exaBase Generative AI provides provide“monitoring of prompt input,” “storage of chat history,” “employee account management,” and other functions to ensure security and compliance.

(1) Automatic opt-out of input usage – Avoid input being used as AI training data
Through our API usage agreement with OpenAI, prompt data input by user companies will be automatically opted out of any usage as data for training AI models (*1).

(2) Preventing the input of prohibited words and sensitive information – Avoiding the leakage of important information
Preventing transmission of prohibited words and sensitive information – Avoid leaking privileged information
In addition to the opt-out described in (1) above, two other functions are available to prevent leaking confidential internal information outside the company: the setting of prohibited words and the detection of sensitive information. Data cannot be sent if it is determined that certain prohibited words set by the administrator in advance or certain sensitive information such as bank accounts or My Number IDs have been entered in prompts (*2).

(3) Accumulation and utilization of chat history – Manage information and enable the horizontal deployment of best practices
The chat history for prompts and replies entered by users is stored and can be checked by administrators in the company (*3). In addition to monitoring for inappropriate prompts, it is also possible to find prompts that are useful for business operations and deploy them horizontally.

(4) User ID and usage log management – Single sign-on (SSO) options
User logins and the status of service usage can be managed. Single sign-on linked to directory services within a company is possible, eliminating the need for administrators to register user information one-by-one or for users to set individual IDs and passwords (*4). Output usage trends in the form of reports for individuals, groups, and other units. This can be used as a basis for promoting usage when utilization is insufficient or setting usage limits to control costs.

*1 Opt-out is a setting that denies the use of information. However, OpenAI retains the data for a certain period of time to ensure the security of the service.
*2 The “Send” button cannot be clicked until the input information is clear of violations set by the administrator or our company.
*3 By default, our server will manage chat history data and user login status for 6 months.
*4 It is also possible to issue individual user IDs on the company’s management screen.

☑︎ Prompts and templates will be provided for each industry and business.
To utilize generative AI in business operations and to achieve effective results, it is necessary to input appropriate prompts. ExaWizards conducts over 250 AI and DX projects per year in a variety of industries. We will provide prompts and templates for each industry and business as needed after the service launch to help user companies fully utilize exaBase Generative AI through leveraging the knowledge of our AI consultants and engineers who have participated in these projects.

☑︎Fee Structure
Basic fee: 900 yen per user per month (excluding tax)
Fee: 27 yen per 1,000 characters (excluding tax)
Adopted AI model: GPT-4
No initial setup fee is required to start using the service.

☑︎ Functional linkage to be supported after release

Screen: Canvas (prototype), the development user interface of exaBase Studio

ExaWizards plans to launch exaBase Studio, a software development environment that will enable corporate users to easily develop AI software during the current fiscal year (ending March 31, 2024). exaBase Studio is a software development environment that allows users to define AI algorithms, processing, input data, etc. on a development screen called a canvas. The canvas is a software development environment that allows you to define AI algorithms, processing, input data, and more. Using the canvas, business department personnel, engineers, developers, and other stakeholders can share goals, build quickly in an agile manner, and evolve in response to subsequent changes in the environment.

With these features, exaBase Studio can be used to enhance the functionality of exaBase Generative AI. It is also possible to build AI software that integrates with in-house systems and databases. By incorporating the different requirements of individual companies, the confidentiality of information can also be enhanced.
