CareWiz, an app which helps solve the worries of family caregivers, is provided to users free of charge – Making it possible to gain easy access to information on available public support in the community through a search function utilizing AI –

ExaWizards Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President: Ko Ishiyama; hereinafter, “ExaWizards”) has developed CareWiz, an app which helps solve the worries of family caregivers while allowing them to learn about the Humanitude caregiving method through videos, and is providing this app to users free of charge.

About CareWiz

CareWiz is an app developed by ExaWizards which helps solve the worries of family caregivers. The app’s name implies “walking together with people who provide care/people receive care.” Users of the app can receive a range of support relating to family caregiving through explanatory videos enabling the user to learn about the Humanitude caregiving method, telephone consultations with qualified Humanitude-accredited instructors, and access to services related to dementia through a search function which utilizes AI.

Three forms of value that CareWiz delivers to those struggling with family caregiving

(1) Can be put into practice from day one
Users can learn methods of care that can be put into practice from day one through videos by qualified Humanitude-accredited instructors. Each video deals with a particular problematic situation, such as repeatedly asking the same thing, not responding when spoken to, etc., providing users with easy-to-understand solutions. The range of problematic situations and help videos will be added to on an ongoing basis in the future.
(2) Can receive advice from professionals
Users can consult over the phone*2 about their day-to-day family caregiving problems with a qualified Humanitude-accredited instructor. In the future, an additional function is due to be added which, at the time of booking a consultation, allows users to attach videos of them putting the Humanitude methods into practice or of their day-to-day family caregiving problems. This will enable them to convey the content of their consultation more clearly when seeking professional advice.

(3) Can become connected with the local community
Users can access information on the various kinds of public support available in their local community.*3 The search function for support information utilizes AI developed by ExaWizards. Users can type the nature of their problem in the search window, such as wanting time go shopping or that they are having trouble striking a balance between work and caregiving. The system will then provide them with the answer which best matches their inputted content from among information on available public support in their area.

ExaWizards has entered into a collaboration with SAS Humanitude (Headquarters: France; Legal representative: Yves Gineste) to plan and administer Japan’s only official Humanitude training.
