Established “JEDIN,” the Network for Executives to Promote DX, to Offer Special Seminars by Executives in DX Pioneering Companies as well as a Place to Exchange Information for Members

ExaWizards Inc., a company that develops AI-enabled services to solve social issues (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President: Ko Ishiyama; hereinafter, “ExaWizards”) has established “JEDIN,” which is the network for executives to promote DX.

☑︎ Providing the essential points for decision making for executives in a practical and concrete manner
ExaWizards has conducted questionnaires to analyze the status of DX promotion at companies while being engaged in promotion of DX and introduction of AI in a number of companies. Results of the questionnaire survey of companies conducted in 2020 showed that around 70% of companies reported a “20% – 40% drop in turnover,” 90% “experience delays in business activities,” and over 30% “have started revising their management strategies” and “are planning active investments,” while only 3% have become “DX pioneers,” that have been actively promoting digital transformation.

ExaWizards established “JEDIN” (JAPAN EXECUTIVE DX INNOVATION NETWORK) as the network for the executives to promote DX. By offering learning opportunities for the promotion of DX, JEDIN aims to increase the number of companies that achieve successful DX as much as possible, and to eventually make better society by leveraging technologies.

JEDIN’s membership is open for management executives who are engaged in the DX promotion in their companies. JEDIN offers the special seminars lectured by executives of the pioneering companies in promoting DX, while also serving as a place of information exchange among the members, providing essential information for executives, including the important decision making points, to achieve successful DX and increase business values of their companies in a practical and concrete manner.

☑︎ It was revealed that understanding of DX and development of organizational framework have been advanced, while a number of executives are struggling in promoting the details
Along with the establishment of JEDIN, ExaWizards conducted a questionnaire survey targeting 25 executives of the companies that attended the seminar. The result revealed that while understanding of necessity and urgency of DX has grown in the respective companies, only 4% of them achieved a significant result and 8% started seeing some results. Among the companies that are not successful, half of them “do not clearly understand their issues in promoting DX.” Thus, even though they have started DX, they have not clearly identified the issues and the measures to be taken in some cases.

While 80% of the companies have incorporated DX in their mid-to long-term management strategy and a number of companies have established the special organization for DX promotion, many of them had problems in both quality and quantity of the “DX human resources” that actually implement DX. The result suggests that although understanding of DX and development of organizational framework has advanced, a number of executives were struggling in promoting the details.

JEDIN will continuously explore the challenges that companies face promoting DX and aim to contribute to DX promotion by offering various support services to help companies successfully achieve DX.
