exaBase Generative AI Now Supports High-Speed GPT-4 Turbo
– Earliest Availability for using Microsoft Azure East Japan domestically through a collaboration with Microsoft Japan
High-speed response and stable operations with PTU –
Exa Enterprise AI(Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Takuma Oue, hereafter Exa Enterprise AI), a group company of ExaWizards Inc., is collaborating with Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd. (hereafter Microsoft) to use GPT-4 Turbo in the Microsoft Azure East Japan region at the earliest. GPT-4 Turbo will support Azure OpenAI Service PTU*, which provides stable performance and high throughput. Exa Enterprise AI is using it with the corporate ChatGPT service “exaBase Generative AI powered by GPT-4” (exaBase Generative AI) and is considering adopting Azure OpenAI Service PTU for other AI services in the group.
*PTU (Provisioning Throughput Unit): A method to improve response speeds and stable operations by reserving processing power in advance.

☑︎ The capabilities of GPT-4 Turbo and PTU compliance
Supporting GPT-4 Turbo allows exaBase Generative AI to process a larger amount of tokens to handle long-text context and use the latest training data (as of April 2023). GPT-4 Turbo is available at the earliest in Japan, and the usage fees for exaBase Generative AI will remain the same as when using the traditional GPT-4.
By supporting PTU, we can pre-book GPT-4 Turbo process capacity in the Azure OpenAI Service. This will reserve processing resources exclusively for the exaBase Generative AI service, improving response speed and providing stable operations.

Since its launch as a paid service in June 2023, exaBase Generative AI has been used primarily by large corporations, reaching 40,000 users in January of this year. As the userbase grows, we will provide generative AI processing with GPT-4 Turbo and Azure OpenAI Service PTU to improve security, speed, and stability. Azure OpenAI Service uses Azure’s East Japan region, ensuring data compliance by completing all processing within Japan. Exa Enterprise AI and Microsoft Japan are planning to implement other measures to enhance functional collaboration and the exaBase Generative AI infrastructure.
