ExaWizards Group’s ExaMD Forms Business Alliance with Medical VR Company Jolly Good Co-Creating a New Service for Home-Based Well-Being and Preventive Medicine Through AI and Gaming

(Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Makoto Haruta), plans, develops, and provides AI health and medical services. ExaMD has formed a business alliance with Jolly Good Inc., a company specializing in medical VR (Chuo-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Kensuke Joji, hereinafter Jolly Good) to develop “Virtual Family,” a healthcare platform leveraging AI/Generative AI that will use conversational voice data for early detection and prevention of health risks such as dementia. This collaboration will address the globally expanding market of home-based medical care.
About the Alliance
ExaMD and Jolly Good will combine their strengths to develop “Virtual Family,” a healthcare platform equipped with unique AI functions for early detection, identification, and diagnosis of health risks within VR and smartphone environments. In Virtual Family, users collect health and lifestyle data through natural interactions with family characters in a virtual game space. This data is analyzed with ExaMD’s AI technology to identify potential health risks such as dementia. The goal is to provide an easily-accessible new home service to a wide range of users, from individuals living alone to the elderly and their families.
ExaMD is currently developing and working on early approval for a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) that can diagnose dementia based on conversational voice data. Virtual Family will utilize this expertise for the early detection, identification, and diagnosis of dementia. The company also plans to gradually expand the role of Virtual Family by exploring data and health risk detection beyond dementia, and is seeking co-creation partners from different industries to join this service.
The percentage of single-person households in Japan expected to reach 44% in the future. The goal of this alliance is to create a society where individuals living alone can have peace of mind and lead a healthy life.
