ExaWizards Launches an AI-Powered Training Support Service for the Sales and Customer Service Sectors – Addressing Workforce and Sales Capability Shortages with AI Avatar Training, Meeting Summarization, and Evaluation Services –
ExaWizards Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President: Makoto Haruta; hereinafter “ExaWizards”) has launched a new talent development support service that utilizes generative AI. Traditional group training and one-on-one sessions are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and are often limited to one-off events. ExaWizards will use generative AI to provide advanced talent development capabilities while significantly reducing costs and time required. In December 2024, the company will provide the new “exaBase Meeting Summary” service, which records and analyzes interview audio with AI. This initiative will address challenges such as knowledge transfer within the organization, early employee turnover, and harassment related to training, enhancing the overall sales capability of the organization.
Labor Market and Training Challenges
Japan’s labor market faces labor shortages and an aging population. The working-age population is expected to decrease by more than 15 million by 2040, requiring a fundamental reevaluation of recruitment and training processes. Veteran employees will retire, and traditional OJT (On-the-Job Training) is becoming challenging. Customers have expressed concerns such as:
Traditional intensive training methods for younger employees may be perceived as power harassment.
Veteran trainers’ workload is becoming unmanageable.
Trainees may require support for multiple languages and other needs.
ExaWizards will address these challenges by developing two services utilizing generative AI and natural language processing. These services will help balance “offense and defense” in sales and customer service sectors and improve productivity.
Features of the Two Services
(1)Role-Playing with AI Avatars
ExaWizards has commenced a large-scale deployment of the AI avatar role-playing service “exaBase Roleplay,” announced in April 2024. The service allows for customizable avatars, scenarios, and scoring tailored to sales scenes, and management of participants at both the company and department levels.
ExaBase Roleplay is being considered by many different companies and organizations, including financial and insurance sectors, real estate, education, IT companies, and call center operations. The service can be used by companies or as an OEM service in B2B2C models.

(2)AI-Powered Sales Interview Summarization
The “exaBase Meeting Summary ” service, which transcribes and analyzes how sales and customer service are conducted on-site using AI, will be launched in December 2024. The AI will transcribe, summarize, and analyze in real-time, sharing results immediately after an interview to improve sales pitches and planning to enhance team and department productivity.
Features include:
Compliance checks
Chat-based confirmation and inquiries regarding interview content
Masking personal information in summary documents
Data can be blocked from being used for AI learning and will be stored in domestic data centers.
Integration of Both Services
Companies can use exaBase Roleplay and exaBase Meeting Summary to verify whether the content learned in role-playing is being applied in actual customer interactions. New content can be incorporated into subsequent role-playing sessions. This approach will enhance new employee training and the retention of mid-level employees, overall sales capabilities, and the effectiveness of training programs. These services can also be applied to improving product inquiry response capabilities in call centers, such as by analyzing common complaint items and incorporating them into role-playing scenarios. The services also provide guidance on appropriate sales activities to customers with dementia, which will become increasingly important in an aging society.
Future Plans
In 2025, the initiative will offer features such as voice synthesis and foreign language support. ExaWizards also provides “exaBase Studio,” a software development environment that allows for in-house system development. Integrating exaBase Roleplay and exaBase Meeting Summary on exaBase Studio will make it possible to connect with internal systems and databases.
