(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Masayuki Kobayashi; hereafter, “Taiho Pharmaceutical”) has started to employ ExaWizards’ DX talent acquisition and development service “exaBase DX Assessment & Learning” on a company-wide basis. Based on the DX talent portfolios of all 2,300 employees identified by the assessment results, a DX talent development course customized for each employee’s skill level will be provided to approximately 1,600 employees.

☑︎ Background of the service adoption
Taiho Pharmaceutical deems DX talent development an important mission to respond to the rapidly changing world and to continually improve corporate value. The results of an in-house survey conducted by the company revealed that more than 1,000 employees would like to undergo a DX skill/ability assessment, which showed that there was a growing interest in the visualization of DX skills and abilities as well as DX training on a company-wide basis.

Under these circumstances, Taiho Pharmaceutical adopted exaBase DX Assessment & Learning to identify the DX talent portfolio through the visualization of all employees’ DX skills and abilities and to realize the optimal DX talent development customized for each employee’s DX skill level. The company called for applications for e-learning courses after conducting assessments of all 2,300 employees, and it turned out that there were more applicants than expected; therefore, the attendee limit increased from approximately 1,000 to approximately 1,600, and e-learning courses were provided.

☑︎ Conducting assessments to identify promising DX talent
With the assessment function of this service, Taiho Pharmaceutical was able to quantify employees’ “skills” and “abilities” into the four quadrants created by the two axes of digitalization and innovation skills/abilities and then identify promising DX talent capable of playing a leading role in the promotion of DX. In addition, the assessment function enables the company to collect information about the skills each employee wants to acquire, which can be used to design training programs.

☑︎ Visualizing the benefits of learning on a regular basis while cultivating a DX mindset and improving DX literacy
With the learning function of this service, the user can unlimitedly access the two types of e-learning content: DX Mindset Cultivation and DX Literacy Improvement provided as one of the services available in the DX standard course. In this course, an assessment is conducted three times a year, which makes it possible to periodically visualize the benefits of learning.

In addition, Taiho Pharmaceutical finds learning topics from all employees, utilizing the assessment function to avoid inconsistencies between employees and the company in deciding the focal point of reskilling. Furthermore, it plans to make periodical recommendations by the department responsible for the promotion of DX to each employee concerning learning content customized for the topic they want to learn.
